Who are we?

On a mission to bring women back to the courts

“Formally”, we’re the largest netball league provider in the UK arranging social leagues nationwide while helping ladies get back to netball. But to anyone who’s joined us, we kind of do more than that. We champion women coming together for fun, fitness, and a love of netball—and staying for community and a sense of purpose. Because what starts with netball, always blooms into something else.

Beyond the obvious mental and physical benefits of team sports (and the grand fact that it never feels like ‘exercise’) there’s so much more that it does for us.

Sport brings something into our lives, it lifts us with community, confidence, empowerment, and most of all – fun.

Our Netball Journey

A Decade of Transforming Lives Through Netball

Planted a seed in 2014

Our story began in 2014 with a single netball league in Malvern, Worcestershire. As pioneers of social sports leagues, we quickly expanded to include dodgeball, basketball, touch rugby, and rounders – inspiring our original name, leagues4you.By 2016, our core team of three (who remain with us today) had laid the foundation for rapid growth. Within a year, we had established leagues across multiple counties including Dorset, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire.

We grew despite troubling headwinds

Recognising a growing need among women seeking to return to netball, we developed our innovative Couch2Court® programme. By the close of 2019, we were proudly hosting over 450 teams weekly in our leagues.

When the Covid-19 pandemic struck, like countless businesses worldwide, we faced unprecedented challenges. Rather than retreat, we used this period to strengthen our foundation, synthesising six years of experience into a robust comeback strategy. Our resilience paid off – within just six months of restrictions lifting, we had fully restored our pre-pandemic participation numbers. We emerged stronger, with a modernised infrastructure including a new website, customer portal, and cashless systems, while maintaining our entire staff team.

Budding success

2021 marked a turning point as our growth accelerated dramatically. With 10,000 women having completed our Couch2Court®programme, our mission crystallised:

Empowering women to reduce stress, build confidence, forge connections, and rediscover their love of netball

Bloomed

2022 saw us establish our new headquarters in Gloucestershire, expand our team to 15 members, and extend our reach into new territories including Northumberland, Essex, Somerset, and Kent. By the end of 2023, we were proudly serving over 1,000 teams across our UK netball leagues.

In 2024, as we celebrated our 20,000th Couch2Court® participant and reached 1,600 active weekly teams, we realised we had outgrown our original identity. What we offered transcended simple league management – we had created a movement celebrating women, fostering community, and enabling personal growth through netball.

This realisation led to our transformation into BLOOM netball. While netball remains our foundation, what blossoms through our community is something far more meaningful: a space where women can truly flourish.
