Micki joined Ledbury Ladies on her own as she’d played in school before and wanted to carry it on whilst at college. One day her mum came to watch a game and someone injured themselves on Micki’s team, so mum was dragged onto court JEANS AND ALL!
She’d never played netball before but everyone convinced her to join the team, and they’ve been playing on the same team ever since! Before Micki’s sister went to uni, she also used to be on the team so it was all three of them for a while!
Micki said “We love playing together, a lot of other teams know us quite well as mother and daughter and everyone giggles at how we talk to each other on the court we just have a laugh and it’s really nice to play together and the more social side that comes with it too.”
