Chris was born in Trinidad in 1947, and at the age of around 10 came to England for to study at Lillesden Girls Boarding School in Hawkhurst Kent. This is where her love of netball took hold (as well as lacrosse and horse riding – Chris’ claim to fame is riding with Princess Anne)!
Sixty-six years later she responded to a Couch2Court advert at Greensward Academy in Hockley and Chris in her own words described this as;
“Life changing! The ladies here make me feel inclusive, being part of ‘Bluebelles’ team there is no pressure, and everyone on Tuesday evenings makes me feel so welcome. I just love the game of netball!”
Chris is proof that at 77 years old you’re never too old for netball!
